I’ve done a lot of research work on tracing the lives of Germans leaving the Southwest of Germany in the 19th and early 20th century and I’ve just published a book on their biographies in German (Liane von Droste, “Lebenswege von Auswanderern. Aus dem Steinlachtal in die Welt - Portraits aus zwei Jahrhunderten”, Attempto Verlag, Tübingen 2008). But nevertheless I am still interested in getting to know more about people leaving the region south of Tübingen (Baden-Württemberg). Please let me know, if you can tell stories about US-immigrants being born in places like Moessingen, Ofterdingen, Talheim or any other place in former “Württemberg”.
